PIEVE OF SAN LORENZO
We have information about the existence of this church from the end of the 10th century. The bell tower was built later, in 1236, when also the Pieve was renovated. Inside, it is well conserved the sole Giotto's work in Mugello, the "Madonna with child", it is possible to see also some Galileo Ghini's frescoes on the apse.
Open every day: weekdays 9.00-12.00, holidays 15.00-17.00.

DOG FIDO
This little, original monument is situated in piazza Dante, near the town hall. From the artistical point of view it doesn't have a particular interest, but the story of its realization is nice and touching: it is narrated that Fido, Carlo Soriani's dog, a man living in that area, went every day for 14 year to the bus stop, where the worker arrived, waiting for the arrival of its master, even if he was dead during the bombardments in 1943.

PRETORIO PALACE ( FORMERLY PODESTA')
This palace was built at the end of the 14th century, but the present appearance is due to the building recostruction in 1935, after the earthquake which devastated Mugello in 1919. The facade it is very original, it shows the coat of arms of all the Podestà which followed each other at the guide of this town. Inside, today seat of the municipal library and historical archive, there are frescoes ascribed to Chino Chini and the florentine school.
OPEN EVERY DAY: 9,00 - 19,00

ORATORY OF THE SS. CRUCIFIX OF THE MIRACLES - Oratorio del SS. crocifisso dei miracoli
This oratory was built during the first half of the 18th century to house a wooden cross, which had recovery powers. Inside there are considerable Carrara marble floor and other decorations realized with very precious marbles. Today it is still shown to the congregation only to celebrate some festivity.
